Japanese android-girl singing group Perfume (read my review of their most recent album, 2011′s JPN) have just released a new single and video, “Spending All My Time.” It’s their first song to be sung almost entirely in English, even if the lyrics are just a few phrases endlessly (and hypnotically) repeated. It will be included on their upcoming Perfume Global Compilation LOVE THE WORLD, their first international release, due out in September.
Here’s the video for “Spending All My Time”:
This follows up another non-JPN single, “Spring of Life,” the video for which is awesomely creepy:
Also check out this fascinating interview (the group’s first in English) Perfume recently gave to the Japan Times. It goes into some detail about their plans for global domination, and they come across as pretty sharp.
