Charles Mingus Live At Montreux 1975

This concert was filmed on July 25, 1975, after Mingus had recorded the twin albums Changes One and Changes Two. The band consisted of many of the musicians featured on those records—Don Pullen on piano, Jack Walrath on trumpet, George Adams on tenor saxophone, flute and vocals, and Dannie Richmond on drums. On the last two songs, Gerry Mulligan, on baritone sax, and Benny Bailey, on trumpet, join the group.

The tracks performed were “For Harry Carney,” “Devil Blues,” “Free Cell Block F,” “‘Tis Nazi USA,” “Sue’s Changes,” “Goodbye Pork Pie Hat,” and “Take The ‘A’ Train.”
