Video: Battles, “My Machines”
This clip by the art-rock band Battles, which features guest vocals by Gary Numan, is one of the best videos I’ve seen in a while. Awesomely J.G. Ballard-meets-Nicholson Baker, it’s pretty much just got to be seen to be believed. The track comes from their second full-length, Gloss Drop, which comes wrapped in one of the more unsettling covers of the year but is definitely worth unwrapping and absorbing.
