The recent CD reissue of Borbetomagus‘s Zurich had manufacturing flaws. If your CD says at the bottom “©Agaric Records/Made in U.S.A.” it is bad. If it says “©Agaric Records/U.S.A.” it is good. If you have a bad one, and you can’t exchange it at the store or with the distributor from whom you purchased it (the band has already sent good copies to all their distributors), email jsauter@borbetomagus.com to arrange a swap.
By the way, if you haven’t already purchased Zurich, you really should. Here’s an interview with all three members of Borbetomagus about this legendary album. And if you’re in Europe, look out for them on tour in October: they’ll be hitting the UK, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Denmark and Norway.
So what’s the flaw? Seems like it would be hard to tell with an album like this.
