Today, we’re premiering a track from the upcoming fifth studio album by Jon Lundbom & Big Five Chord, Jeremiah, out February 10 on Hot Cup Records (the label run by Mostly Other People Do The Killing‘s Moppa Elliott). The band—as heard on this album—includes Lundbom on guitar, Jon Irabagon on soprano saxophone, Bryan Murray on tenor and balto! saxophones, Sam Kulik on trombone, Justin Wood on alto saxophone and flute, Moppa Elliott on bass, and Dan Monaghan on drums.

“Scratch Ankle” features written passages which separate two duo improvisation sections. The first is an exchange between Murray on tenor saxophone and Justin Wood on alto; the second between Kulik on trombone and Irabagon on soprano saxophone.
